Probably the über-hair-trend right now is the dip-dye. Walking the streets of London one can spot this trend almost every five minutes on the girls walking by. To be honest I have mixed feelings towards this new trend, mainly due to the fact that almost every girl who likes to set a fashion statement is wearing the dip-dye, kind of like “if you can’t beat em, join em!”. Over the years I realized I’m someone who likes to be playful with clothes, experiment with different styles and change my entire wardrobe nearly every half a year (“making changes” is a good thing, right?!), since if fashion is evolving, so is my personal style and taste. But when it comes to my hair I don’t like any change at all! I love wearing something extravagant, while my hair looks just effortlessly cool- undone-. Then again, I really like the dip-dye on Jamie King (total girl crush alert!) or Abbey Lee, combining their classic beauty with a bit of a modern twist, not only accentuating their fashion style but their whole appearance.

How are your opinions of this new hair-trend? Would you wear your hair ends in rainbow colours, or is that too much of a statement for you?

Fashion’s ‘enfante terrible’ Mr. Jeremy Scott has definitely toped himself with this collection, always daring, fearless and fashion forward. His provocative theme was “Arab Spring” – drawing inspiration from the Middle East – . The collection showed a lot of leopard print, a lot of golden chains, sequined burkas – which reveal the model’s underwear- and Scott’s own “bad taste” charme. What do you guys think? Are you as enthusiastic as I am about this collection?

Get into the Olympic spirit with Ashish’s latest Collection for Topshop. With these pieces, the Delhi born designer Ashish Gupta, combines classic sportswear with his trademark subversive style. From a grey jersey sweat set embellished with world flags to shirts with the  phrases ‘2nd place’, ‘Don’t play games’ and ‘I Love Sports’ on the front. My favourite is the baseball jacket that makes  fun of the stereotypical American High School jocks , with just one simple slogan ‘Loser’. Sportswear with a bit of humor, who wouldn’t like that?

True, they might be a bit risky and only for the brave fashionistas out there, but they’re absolutely gorgeous! Styled correctly, they can be very flattering and versatile and if you don’t like to reveal your belly, just layer them over a top or dress.

Although if you can stomach it (get it?! hello,wordplay..) channel your inner 80s goddess and pair your crop top with your favourite high-waisted skirt or shorts and let’s Vogue!

Have you ever seen an entire collection and fallen in love with all of it? That’s pretty much what happened with me, when I saw the show for Topshop’s Unique Autumn 2012 collection. Kate Phelan, Topshop’s new creative designer, and her team of designers, did a great job in creating  something edgy but accessible. Emma Farrow, who heads up the team of 30 designers, said it was a collective of ideas : ” The Concept was trying to reinvent the uniform with a good mix of masculine and feminine – modern utility pieces. It was important that the girls were relaxed and that Unique has a life after the Catwalk”. They definitely achieved this goal. This collection will get many girls, including myself here, heading to Topshop to load up on these beautiful pieces. Bring it on!
