Designer to watch: Simon Preen

I was planning on doing some style shots at the DAF concert, as I already mentioned in my earlier post, there were a few very fashionable people there. This guy instantly caught my eye, not only because of his incredible face and make up, but also everything in his style seemed to harmonize with each other and was just so exciting to watch.

After we finished with the pictures, he told me his name was ‘ Simon’ (yes, this was already the moment where i was starting to think.. ” Could it be? Maybe? Nah, it’s not him”..unfortunately my brain cells were a bit slowly thinking) and approximately after ten minutes, while i was already arriving at my flat, I was quite sure I had photographed Simon Preen, the designer.
So Simon Preen is not only breathtakingly beautiful and very friendly, but also one of my favourite
up-and-coming London-based designers. He originally graduated from the London College of fashion, having studied menswear.
Soon after his graduation he got offered a deal with Urban Outfitters, designing womenswear. I really hope one day Simon will design menswear aswell, as he is a very promising young talent, and I would love to see his take on Men’s fashion.
